This animal rescue was led by our volunteer, Josie Hunt, in late February, saving the lives of 6 cows.
Since the price of beef was declining, the owner was not making an effort to keep them healthy and was willing to sell them at low prices to the slaughterhouse to get rid of them.
With the effort of our volunteers, the cows found a new home. And just after a 16-hour journey, they were welcomed to an organic farm located in the northeast of Thailand. (Don Tan, Mukdahan)
The farm owner was thrilled to take the cows in and has agreed to provide regular updates to us, assuring that the cows are thriving happily in their new environment. They are guaranteed a life free from slaughter and are flourishing, enjoying ample nourishment as their manure contributes to fertilizing crops.
